A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin Indiana in the chapel at 2:45 pm. A visitation will be held just prior from 11-2:45 pm.

Doris E. Howell Hudson, 94, of Franklin, passed away on November 24, 2014. She will be missed.

Doris and her identical twin were the first of eight children born to the late Jerry and Ruby (Donahoe) Howell of Bowling Green, Kentucky. There, she grew up and married Max Hudson Sr. on January 2, 1940 and they ran a small grocery and gas station in Woodburn, Kentucky. They also owned a Seal Test Milk Distributorship before moving to Indiana in 1955.

There along with her husband they founded Hudson’s Trim Shop in 1957. After which, she worked at General Motors in Indianapolis for 16 years before retiring in 1985. Doris continued to work at the Trim Shop with her three children where she enjoyed being with family and customers until 2006.

Doris leaves to carry her legacy: Children, Max Hudson Jr. (Diann), Lynn Jone (Ron) and Larry Hudson (Kathy); Siblings, Dorothy Davis (Bowling Green, KY), Winifred Galloway (Sykesville, MD), Sue Hough (Franklin, IN), Shirley Lockhart (Greentown, IN), Scott Howell (Palm Coast, FL); 10 Grandchildren; 17 Great- Grandchildren; 6 Great -Great- Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Doris will be reunited in heaven with: her loving husband Max Hudson Sr., Her parents Jerry and Ruby Howell and her two brothers, Buddy and Billy Howell.
